With a weight of 2.2kg the pair for 180cm, the Volkl VTA 88 lite is one of the lightest skis in its category. It’s therefore no surprise that it’s really great going uphill and that it’s possible to ride it on extremely uneven snow. We were pleasantly surprised by its downhill behavior for a ski of this weight. The VTA Lite is stable even in deep snow and it holds turns very well. In fact, it gives its best performance when charging at top speed! On the other hand, it’s not very playful especially when you ride it at cruising speed. Its real potential is felt when you push it a bit.
