Testers' Ratings

This fish shape for powder has a particularly wide program. It is playful thanks to varied rides, pop tips and fast edge-to-edge.

This revival from 1986 is based on the Mellow shape. Totally modern, but with an 80s look, it’s a real one-off in this niche which is full of fun fish boards. Right from the start, you can see its bigger stance setback (inserts offset towards the back) which makes it incisively directional. Its nose is playful and tail fast, like on a real fish, but the feeling is more freestyle, with speed underfoot and pivoting. Fast edge-to-edge is always bouncy. It has a really dynamic character, like a versatile freestyle, but the ends don’t dominate. They are playful and deliver a great pop. It still has the major fish themes and varied carving with continuity in the edges. More versatile than most fish boards, it could almost be the only board for some riders.
