The Flying V profile version of the Custom X remains just as conclusive in terms of technical performance but will please a wider public for its less physically demanding personality.
This year we reviewed the Flying V profile of the Custom X, the exceptionally powerful version of the Custom. The association is awesome, combining edge power from the Custom X core with the accessibility of the dual camber Flying V. You get smoothness, precision and a very wide range of rides, all of which are natural and almost intuitive. It spins well when you ride it balanced on both feet, and it's powerful when you work the edges along the sidecut. Like the cambered version, it will take all terrains in its stride with considerable comfort and endurance. It’s also more playful in freestyle, where you can make the most of its pop and its responsive tips. For 99% of riders, choosing the Flying V version rather than the traditional cambered version makes sense as it’s less demanding, but still performs incredibly well. The classic Custom X, on the other hand, is ideal for riders looking for top performance.
